2006
We moved into the newly built show- and meetingrooms. Our innovativ products could first be presented in a adequate facility.

2004
KANYA can look back on a successful 30 years old business activity. In the meantime, more than 30 employes are working for KANYA in Switzerland. The turnover is in the year 2005 with approx. 11 Mio CHF. The office, production and storage space increased on over 3500m2.

2000
As the first Swiss enterprise attains KANYA the Quality management certificate after ISO 9001 : 2000

1996
An optimal estate is bought. After one year's conversion of the building, the new company headquarters at the today's address is inaugurated.

1992
After refurbishment the building and the premises, KANYA manufactures its products starting from 1992 on extended 1500m2.

1984
The enterprise increased in the first 10 years to 6 employes.

1983
After a devastating fire succeeds letting KANYA start within shortest period the production to close lying locations again.

1982
Already in the starting period Walter Bear, the life partner of Gertrud Ruegg is concerned as a by-job with the technical range. Starting from 1982 it engages itself full-time for the enterprise. In Wald a new production on 800m2 is furnished.

1975
The Kanya PVS-connector (the Orginal) is developed and patented by Walter Bear. With this completely new connection technique, it puts the foundation-stone for the success of the company. This connector is copied in the following years despite patent protection by competitors.

1974
A small team under the line of the firm foundress Gertrud Ruegg begins with the production and the trade of elements for the booth-building of fairs. The company is in-rented in a garage. The first customer, the company Luedemann & Co, from Hamburg recognizes the advantages revolutionary profile connecting system. So the first foreign agency can be already won in the year of the foundation.
