Timing belts
Timing belts are the central functional element of the Kanya timing belt conveyor. They transmit the drive force through positive engagement and are suitable for precise positioning, indexed operation and a wide range of conveyed products. As standard, 32 mm wide timing belts are used. Each belt is specified to suit the conveyor length, total load and application.
Depending on the transport task, accumulating or high-grip surfaces are available, as are FDA-compliant and ESD-safe timing belts. Matched components are available for ESD protected areas. The tested ESD configuration supports applications in accordance with IEC 61340-5-1.
For higher conveying speeds, friction- and noise-optimised PAZ coatings can be used. PAZ consists of polyamide fabric applied to the tooth side. Screw-on cleats enable positive positioning of components in indexed processes. The timing belt can be replaced by releasing the tensioners at the idler end, without any additional disassembly of the conveyor.
